Dr. Rosenberg was recognized for leading the charge on immunotherapy treatment research for cancer patients, which employs their own immune systems in the fight against the disease.
Currently, Dr. Rosenberg is the chief of the Surgery Branch at the Center for Cancer Research at the National Cancer Institute.
