KFF used state licensing information from Redi-Data to determine the number of active physicians by specialty as of September. Becker’s used KFF and census data to determine the number of oncologists per capita in every state and the District of Columbia.
Here are the 10 states with the fewest oncologists per capita:

Alaska: 1.91
Idaho: 2.1
Montana: 2.54
Nevada: 2.67
Hawaii: 3.82
Colorado: 3.92
South Carolina: 3.93
Arizona: 4.05
Utah: 4.08
