The University of Cincinnati Cancer Center has tapped David Gius, MD, PhD, as director. Dr. Gius will step into the role July 1.
Dr. Gius most recently served as associate cancer center director for translational research and assistant dean for research at the Mays Cancer Center at UT Health San Antonio (Texas) MD Anderson, according to a Feb. 10 news release from the University of Cincinnati.
His previous leadership roles include chief of the molecular radiation oncology section at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Md., and director of the Women’s Cancer Program at Northwestern University’s Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center in Chicago.
