Buffalo, N.Y.-based Roswell Park has launched a cancer health initiative aimed at increasing lung cancer screening among Indigenous communities in the U.S. and Canada.
The initiative is being funded through a three-year Healthcare Improvement Grant from Eli Lilly and Co., according to a March 24 news release from Roswell Park.
Roswell Park’s Department of Indigenous Cancer Health team will provide lung cancer screening workflow resources, lung health education and patient navigation services for Tribal Nation communities in the Northeast, Midwest and South-Central U.S., as well as the Pacific Islands and parts of Canada.
At the Becker's Perioperative Summit, taking place October 29–31 in Chicago, perioperative leaders and healthcare executives will focus on improving operating room efficiency, enhancing patient safety, optimizing staffing and driving innovation across surgical services.
