UT Health San Antonio hospital treats 1st clinical trial patient

UT Health San Antonio, the academic health center of the University of Texas at San Antonio, has expanded clinical trial capabilities at UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty and Research Hospital.

UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty and Research Hospital has enrolled and treated its first cancer clinical trial patient in a phase 2 study of the drug invikafusp alfa, according to a March 24 news release from the hospital. 

The drug is administered by intravenous infusion as a possible treatment for advanced solid tumors. The study is sponsored by Marengo Therapeutics, the release said.
