New York City-based NYU Langone has appointed Lisa Roth, MD, as director of the division of pediatric hematology-oncology at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital, also in New York City.

Dr. Roth joins NYU Langone from Weill Cornell Medicine and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, both based in New York City, where she served as director of pediatric oncology.

She launched Weill Cornell Medicine’s Adolescent and Young Adult Lymphoma program in 2014. She has served as associate vice chair for translational research in the department of pediatrics and co-director of the cancer therapeutics program at the Meyer Cancer Center since 2024, according to LinkedIn.

Dr. Roth succeeds Elizabeth Raetz, MD, who served as division director for eight years before being appointed vice chair for clinical affairs in the department of pediatrics, according to a March 25 news release from NYU Langone.
