The University of Rochester (N.Y.) Medical Center has reopened its Clinical Research Center after a 2022 flood forced the university to relocate operations to another building.
The new facility has 30% more patient rooms, including two overnight rooms, seven exam rooms, six infusion bays, biopsy and imaging spaces as well as multiple laboratory areas, according to a March 31 news release from the university.
The renovated research center allows URMC to “expand clinical trial opportunities in fields ranging from cancer and pediatrics to cardiac care,” the release said.
At the Becker's Perioperative Summit, taking place September 14–15 in Chicago, perioperative leaders and healthcare executives will focus on improving operating room efficiency, enhancing patient safety, optimizing staffing and driving innovation across surgical services.
