The American Cancer Society has launched a medical journal dedicated to cancers affecting children, adolescents and young adults.

Nirali Shah, MD, head of hematologic malignancies in pediatric oncology at the National Cancer Institute, will serve as the journal’s editor-in-chief, according to an April 7 news release from the American Cancer Society.

The first issue of the journal, called Pediatric, Adolescent & Young Adult Cancer, will be published in late summer, the release said.

The American Cancer Society publishes three medical journals: CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians, Cancer and Cancer Cytopathology.

At the Becker's Perioperative Summit, taking place September 14–15 in Chicago, perioperative leaders and healthcare executives will focus on improving operating room efficiency, enhancing patient safety, optimizing staffing and driving innovation across surgical services.
