St. Louis-based SSM Health will renovate and modernize the cancer center at St. Anthony Hospital – Shawnee (Okla.) after receiving a $3 million donation from the Avedis Foundation.
The renovations will be completed in three phases, beginning with the installation of a new linear accelerator, according to a news release shared with Becker’s.
Future upgrades include renovations to the facility’s entrance and waiting areas and a 43% expansion of clinical and treatment spaces. SSM Health St. Anthony Foundation, the nonprofit organization that receives charitable gifts in support of SSM Health, is launching a fundraising campaign to secure the remaining funds needed to complete the project.
