Greenwich (Conn.) Hospital has opened a 14-bed, all-private oncology unit as part of Yale New Haven (Conn.) Health’s Smilow Cancer Hospital expansion.
The inpatient oncology suite integrates clinical capabilities with an environment intentionally designed around the patient and family experience, according to an April 23 news release shared with Becker’s.
“Patients today have choices and they are seeking environments that combine clinical sophistication with humanity,” Bob Blenderman, president of Greenwich Hospital, said in the release. “This suite reflects our commitment to both.”
At the Becker's Perioperative Summit, taking place September 14–15 in Chicago, perioperative leaders and healthcare executives will focus on improving operating room efficiency, enhancing patient safety, optimizing staffing and driving innovation across surgical services.
