Greenville, S.C.-based Prisma Health Cancer Institute has received $3 million to improve patient care, the largest single donation received in the institute’s Upstate region.
The first improvements funded by the gift will begin at Prisma Health Cancer Institute-Eastside in Greenville, and include new infusion chairs and an outdoor respite space, according to an April 30 news release from Prisma Health.
The Eastside location has been dedicated the Kimberly Kopchinski Care Center in honor of donors Kimberly and John Kopchinski.
The donation will also support the Prevent Cancer Greenville initiative, which provides free wellness screenings and cancer risk assessments.
At the Becker's Perioperative Summit, taking place September 14–15 in Chicago, perioperative leaders and healthcare executives will focus on improving operating room efficiency, enhancing patient safety, optimizing staffing and driving innovation across surgical services.
