UW Health Carbone Cancer Center names new director

Madison, Wis.-based UW Health Carbone Cancer Center has appointed Christian Capitini, MD, as director.

Dr. Capitini stepped into the role in April after serving as acting director since December 2024, according to a May 5 news release from UW Health. 

He previously served as chief of the division of pediatric hematology, oncology, transplant and cellular therapy at UW School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, and as co-leader of UW Health’s developmental therapeutics program.
