Sentara Health launches precision medicine partnership

Norfolk, Va.-based Sentara Health will launch the first vertically integrated theranostics program in Virginia.

The program will be established in partnership with biotechnology firm BAMF Health, according to a May 28 news release from Sentara Health.

Theranostics offers treatment for patients with highly complex or treatment-resistant conditions such as cancer. Sentara Health’s precision medicine program will incorporate radiopharmaceutical production, molecular imaging and molecular therapy, the release said.
