UCI Health names neuro-oncology chief

Orange, Calif.-based UCI Health and the University of California Irvine School of Medicine have appointed Frances Chow, MD, chief of the division of neuro-oncology. 

Dr. Chow was also appointed medical director of the health system’s Comprehensive Brain Tumor Program, according to a July 6 news release from UCI Health.

She previously served as a neuro-oncologist at Los Angeles-based USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and is a principal investigator for the National Cancer Institute’s Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program, the release said.
