Cincinnati Children’s has named Daniel Starczynowski, PhD, director of the division of experimental hematology and cancer biology, and scientific and innovation director of the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute.
Dr. Starczynowski was also appointed research deputy director of the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center, according to a July 29 news release from Cincinnati Children’s.
He joined Cincinnati Children’s in 2010 and serves as the Katherine Stewart Waters Endowed Chair in Hematologic Malignancies and directs the Advanced Leukemia Therapies and Research Center.
Dr. Starczynowski succeeds Yi Zheng, PhD, who has served as director of the division of experimental hematology and cancer biology since the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute was established in 2009, the release said.
