Wilmot Cancer Institute taps early phase clinical trial leader

The Wilmot Cancer Institute at University of Rochester (N.Y.) Medicine has tapped Naoko Takebe, MD, PhD, as associate director for clinical research and director of the Early Phase Therapy Clinic.

Dr. Takebe will also lead a new research initiative for developmental therapeutics at Wilmot, according to a Sept. 16 news release from University of Rochester Medicine.

She previously spent 17 years at the National Cancer Institute before being appointed associate director of clinical research and section chief of solid tumor oncology at the University of Oklahoma’s Stephenson Cancer Center in Oklahoma City.
