Hartford (Conn.) HealthCare and Yale New Haven (Conn.) Health have opened the first proton beam therapy center in Connecticut.
The Connecticut Proton Center was established in collaboration with Proton International, according to a Sept. 1 news release from Hartford HealthCare.
New Haven, Conn.-based Yale Medicine and Connecticut Radiation Oncology will provide clinical leadership for the center, while the facility will be staffed by Hartford HealthCare and Yale New Haven Health.
