Hollywood, Fla.-based Memorial Healthcare System has named Atif Hussein, MD, chief of the Memorial Cancer Institute.
Dr. Hussein will also lead collaboration between Memorial Healthcare System and Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Broward Health as part of the organizations’ efforts to expand access to specialized cancer care throughout Broward County, according to a Sept. 9 news release from Memorial Cancer Institute.
He chairs Memorial’s Cancer Committee and previously served as medical director and program director of Memorial Cancer Institute’s hematology/oncology fellowship program.
