New York City-based NYU Langone Perlmutter Cancer Center has named Rutika Mehta, MD, director of upper GI medical oncology.
Dr. Mehta joins NYU Langone from New York City-based Weill Cornell Medicine, where she established the system’s Upper GI Working Group, according to a Sept. 21 news release from NYU Langone.
Prior to her time at Weill Cornell Medicine, she helped build the Upper GI Malignancies Program at Tampa, Fla.-based Moffitt Cancer Center, the release said.
