Fifty-four cardio-oncology programs across the U.S. have earned the International Cardio-Oncology Society’s Gold Certified Center of Excellence distinction.

The IC-OS certifies programs that have “demonstrated superior expertise in the care and treatment of patients within the cardio-oncology sphere,” according to the organization’s website.

Cardio-oncology programs can earn a Gold-, Silver- or Bronze-level certification based on patient volume, relevant research and publications, education, quality improvement, cardio-oncology committee involvement, and program building.
