Minneapolis-based Allina Health has added lung cancer care to its Cancer Connection mobile app, which previously served breast cancer patients.

The Cancer Connection app, launched in 2024, facilitates communication between patients and care teams to manage symptoms and prepare for appointments, according to an April 22 news release from Allina Health.

The app includes lung cancer-specific capabilities such as drainage and spirometry tracking, as well as expert-reviewed educational content, the release said.

At the Becker's Perioperative Summit, taking place September 14–15 in Chicago, perioperative leaders and healthcare executives will focus on improving operating room efficiency, enhancing patient safety, optimizing staffing and driving innovation across surgical services.
