The American Oncology Network, a physician-led network of community oncology practices, has appointed two clinical directors to its leadership team, according to a July 22 news release.
Robert McDonald, MD, has been appointed radiology medical director and in-house reading radiologist. Dr. McDonald also chairs the radiology segment of American Oncology Network’s physician leadership committee. He previously served as medical director of imaging services at Fort Myers-based Florida Cancer Specialists.
Jason Berilgen, MD, has been appointed medical director of radiation oncology. Dr. Berilgen also chairs the American Oncology Network’s radiation oncology committee and the radiation oncology segment of the network’s physician leadership committee. He serves as head of radiation oncology and diagnostic imaging at Woodlands (Texas) Cancer Institute.
