Breast health services at Phoenix-based Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center are being renamed after a $1 million gift.
The Laura Dreier Breast Center at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Phoenix is being renamed the Carol Fitzgerald Breast Health Center, in honor of Larry Fitzgerald’s mother, who died of breast cancer in 2003, according to an Oct. 28 system news release shared with Becker’s.
The gift, from the Larry Fitzgerald Foundation, will be used to provide patient financial assistance, remove barriers to care, add patient navigation personnel to the team and support informational materials and community educational events.
