Dario Altieri, MD, president and CEO of Philadelphia-based Wistar Institute, a National Cancer Institute-designated basic laboratory cancer center, will join Philadelphia-based Thomas Jefferson University’s Sidney Kimmel Medical College on Jan. 1, 2027.
Dr. Altieri will serve as a special advisor to the director of Jefferson Health’s Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center, also in Philadelphia, according to a May 19 news release from the health system.
At Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Dr. Altieri has been appointed professor in the department of pharmacology, physiology and cancer biology, and the department of biochemistry and molecular biology.
