City of Hope names deputy director

Marwan Fakih, MD, has been appointed deputy director of Duarte, Calif-based City of Hope’s NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center. 

Dr. Fakih also serves as division head of GI medical oncology, medical director of the Briskin Center for Clinical Research and associate director for clinical services at City of Hope, according to a statement shared with Becker’s

As deputy director he will focus on expanding City of Hope’s clinical research portfolio, as well as fostering communication and collaboration across disease teams and research programs, the statement said.
