Among 11 cancer hospitals exempt from reporting to Medicare’s Inpatient Prospective Payment System, Tampa, Fla.-based Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute and Los Angeles-based USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center had the highest cleanliness star ratings between July 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025, according to CMS data published May 13.
Eleven cancer hospitals are required to participate in the PPS-Exempt Cancer Hospital Quality Reporting Program, a specialized quality reporting program established in 2010 by the ACA.
