Cleveland Clinic Florida cancer center welcomes oncologist

Anatoly Nikolaev, MD, PhD, has joined the Cleveland Clinic Weston (Fla.) Maroone Cancer Center.

Dr. Nikolaev, a radiation oncologist, specializes in head and neck cancer and central nervous system disease sites. As a physician-scientist, his research is centered on molecular mechanisms of resistance to radiation, chemotherapy and immunotherapy, according to a March 2 news release sent to Becker’s

“We are very pleased Dr. Nikolaev has joined the multidisciplinary oncology team at Maroone Cancer Center,” said Rodolfo Blandon, MD, president of Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital. “His specialized knowledge in radiation oncology and advanced research experience will help us in our mission to provide the highest quality customized treatment option for each patient.” 

Dr. Nikolaev earned his medical degree at Florida Atlantic University Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine in Boca Raton.
