Dana-Farber gets $72M donation

Boston-based Dana-Farber Cancer Institute received a $72 million donation from the Pan-Mass Challenge, an athletic fundraiser.

The donation marks the largest gift ever given by the fundraiser for cancer research, care and treatment, according to a Nov. 13 hospital press release. 

Since the challenge’s inception in 1980, it has donated more than $972 million to Dana-Farber, making it the institute’s largest contributor.
