Philadelphia-based Temple Health has appointed Alex Khariton as COO of Fox Chase Cancer Center, effective Feb. 23.
Mr. Khariton has also been named senior vice president for cancer services across Temple Health, according to a Feb. 3 news release from the health system.
He joins Fox Chase from the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health, where he has served as COO since 2024 and vice president of cancer services since 2019.
Mr. Khariton will oversee clinical operations across Fox Chase Cancer Center’s main campus, 11 satellite locations as well as systemwide integrated cancer services across Temple Health.
He succeeds Joel Helmke, who has served as Fox Chase Cancer Center COO since 2021. Mr. Helmke was recently appointed CEO of the Knight Cancer Group, part of the Knight Cancer Institute at Portland-based Oregon Health & Science University.
