Philadelphia based-Fox Chase Cancer Center has launched a partnership with Arima Genomics to strengthen diagnostic capabilities in clinical practice through 3D genomic sequencing and analysis.

The Cancer Epigenetics Institute at Fox Chase will incorporate Arima’s technology in its diagnostic workflows for lymphoma and sarcoma, according to a Jan. 8 news release from the cancer center.

The partnership aims to “help physicians better identify genomic changes that traditional testing methods may miss, thus improving diagnosis and informing individualized cancer treatment,” the release said.

Researchers also plan to collect and analyze de-identified patient data with the goal of identifying new drug targets and advancing the understanding of cancer biology.

At the Becker's Perioperative Summit, taking place September 14–15 in Chicago, perioperative leaders and healthcare executives will focus on improving operating room efficiency, enhancing patient safety, optimizing staffing and driving innovation across surgical services.
