How this Georgia cancer center, university are preventing skin cancer

Augusta-based Georgia Cancer Center and Augusta University are tackling skin cancer rates by installing sunscreen dispensers across the university’s campus, Jagwire reported May 22.

The hands-free, battery-operated dispensers are placed in key locations and dispense 30 SPF sunscreen in an effort to encourage more people wear sunscreen and prevent skin cancer.

The program was funded via a grant awarded to the Augusta University’s Well-Being Committee.
