Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health has opened a cancer center at Denver-based Saint Joseph Hospital.

The center was designed with “significant patient feedback” and includes two treatment and procedure rooms, eight additional infusion bays as well as upgraded rehabilitation and mammography services, according to a Feb. 23 news release shared with Becker’s.

The hospital also moved the breast surgery clinic to the same floor as breast imaging to create a “more efficient and coordinated experience” for patients, the release said.

At the Becker's Perioperative Summit, taking place September 14–15 in Chicago, perioperative leaders and healthcare executives will focus on improving operating room efficiency, enhancing patient safety, optimizing staffing and driving innovation across surgical services.
