LSU LCMC Health Cancer Center strengthens clinical trial office

New Orleans-based LSU LCMC Health Cancer Center has expanded its clinical trials office as it works toward a National Cancer Institute designation.

Patrick Ma, MD, Yazmin Odia, MD, and Eileen Mederos, RN, will lead the office as associate director of clinical research, medical director and administrative director, respectively, according to a May 13 news release from LSU Health.

The cancer center plans to grow the number and variety of cancer clinical trials available at LCMC Health-affiliated hospitals through the expansion. 

LSU Health New Orleans and LCMC Health, also based in New Orleans, partnered to establish the LSU LCMC Health Cancer Center in February 2022.
