The Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute continues to expand its clinical and research operations to care for cancer patients with HIV through its HIV/Cancer Clinic.
Established in 2021, the clinic is one of fewer than 50 member organizations worldwide in the international AIDS Malignancy Consortium, according to a Dec. 1 news release from the health system.
The Miami Cancer Institute’s HIV/Cancer Clinic treats cancer patients with HIV through an integrated care model, treating both conditions simultaneously by allowing oncologists, infectious disease physicians and specialized clinical pharmacists to work as a team.
