Moffitt names chief operating officer

Sabi Singh has been named executive vice president and COO of Tampa, Fla.-based Moffitt Cancer Center.

Mr. Singh is also president of Moffitt Hospital and brings more than 25 years of professional and leadership experience to the new positions, according to a July 12 news release. He will oversee all of the cancer center’s clinical operations. 

Prior to Moffitt, he served in several roles at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, beginning in 2005. 

There, Mr. Singh established the Office of Operations Improvement, which aimed to create a culture of continuous improvement. He spent several years in other leadership roles before becoming COO of the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. 

Mr. Singh earned his master’s degree in operations research from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo.
