Jacksonville, Fla.-based Nemours Children’s Health has opened an outpatient hospital for patients with cancer and blood disorders in Wilmington, Del.
The Lisa Dean Moseley Foundation Institute for Cancer and Blood Disorders Outpatient Services and Day Hospital is more than five times larger than Nemours Children’s Hospital Delaware’s previous outpatient unit, according to a Dec. 9 news release from the health system.
The outpatient hospital is the second phase of the Moseley Foundation Institute’s expansion plan — the first phase of which opened a 24-bed inpatient unit in March 2025.
Nemours Children’s appointed Douglas Harrison, MD, as division chief of hematology, oncology, transplant and cellular therapy, and the Lisa Dean Moseley Foundation Presidential Endowed Chair, in September.
