Northwell opens wellness center for cancer patients

Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.-based Phelps Hospital, part of New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health, has opened a health and wellness center for cancer patients. 

The facility is donor-funded and located adjacent to the hospital’s infusion center, according to a May 27 news release from Northwell. 

Supportive services offered at the center include exercise oncology, acupuncture, art and music therapy, reiki, massage, meditation, support groups, psychiatrist or psychologist visits, nutritional support and yoga.
