NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health has opened a newly renovated oncology and infusion center, bringing breast cancer prevention, infusion therapy, plastic surgery, rheumatology, medical oncology and survivorship services to one coordinated space.

The $2 million renovation expanded the center’s capacity from five to 13 exam rooms and from seven to 11 infusion bays, according to a March 2 news release from NYC Health + Hospitals.

Staffing has increased from about 16 to 25 team members, the release said.

At the Becker's Perioperative Summit, taking place September 14–15 in Chicago, perioperative leaders and healthcare executives will focus on improving operating room efficiency, enhancing patient safety, optimizing staffing and driving innovation across surgical services.
