NYU Langone taps radiation oncology leader

New York City-based NYU Langone has tapped Daniel Gomez, MD, as chair of the department of radiation oncology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. 

Dr. Gomez joins NYU Langone from New York City-based Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he served as director of thoracic radiation oncology and vice chair of clinical operations in the department of radiation oncology, according to a Feb. 9 news release from NYU Langone.

Prior to his time at Memorial Sloan Kettering, Dr. Gomez served as thoracic radiation oncology section chief and clinical medical director at Houston-based University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
