Peoria, Ill.-based OSF HealthCare Cancer Institute has named James McGee, MD, the system’s president.
Dr. McGee has served as the founding director of the institute since it opened in February 2024, according to a Nov. 5 system news release. He will continue to serve as vice president of physician services for the oncology service line at OSF HealthCare, in addition to his new role.
As president, Dr. McGee will be responsible for “establishing a world-leading cancer program.” Under his leadership, the institute said it has already exceeded its operational and research goals and expanded advanced cancer programs.
