Josh Carpenter, PhD, has been named vice president and chief integration officer at Tampa, Fla.-based Moffitt Cancer Center, and president of Speros, a Land O' Lakes, Fla.-based research facility and medical campus owned by the cancer center.

Sixty percent of oncologists are experiencing depression, burnout or both, according to a Medscape survey published March 7. 

"It's really hard to be a patient with cancer. Patients suffer a lot at home and don't reach out," Ethan Basch, MD, said. "Helping to have better communication to address their needs is really meaningful."
