The University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center has been awarded nearly $3 million in grants to expand two programs focused on diversity and equity in cancer research. 

Richmond-based Virginia Commonwealth University will establish a new research center focused on cancer equity with a five-year, $9 million National Cancer Institute grant.
