Penn Medicine names new cancer institute leader

Penn Medicine Lancaster (Pa.) General Health has named Efrat Dotan, MD, as executive medical director of the Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute.

Dr. Dotan is stepping into the role following the retirement of Randall Oyer, MD, according to a LinkedIn post from the health system. 

She previously served as chief of the division of gastrointestinal medical oncology and professor in the department of hematology/oncology at Philadelphia-based Fox Chase Cancer Center. 

As part of her new role, Dr. Dotan will serve as a professor of clinical medicine at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine in Philadelphia.
