Penn State Health consolidates cancer services into new center

Hersey, Pa.-based Penn State Health recently unveiled its new comprehensive cancer center.

The Penn State Health Cancer Center at Hampden Medical Center is a 40,250-square foot facility that offers comprehensive cancer services in one location, according to an Oct. 20 system news release. Four practices were moved into the center: breast imaging, radiation oncology, medical oncology and breast surgery, physical and occupational therapy. This allows patients to complete physician appointments, diagnostic imaging and labs, and treatment in one location.

The center will accept its first patients Oct. 27.
