The Stanford Cancer Institute, part of Palo Alto, Calif.-based Stanford Medicine, has appointed Pamela Munster, MD, inaugural associate director for early detection and interception research.
Dr. Munster will work alongside Vivek Subbiah, MD, associate director of drug development and precision oncology, in the institute’s Early Drug Development Program, according to a July 23 news release from Stanford Medicine.
She joins the Stanford Cancer Institute from the University of California San Francisco, where she served as director of the Early Phase Clinical Trials Unit, co-leader of the Center for BRCA Research and co-leader of the Molecular Oncology Program.
