Stanford (Calif.) Health Care has committed $10 million over five years to support development of a Hope Lodge in the Bay Area with the American Cancer Society.
The Stanford-funded project would be the first Hope Lodge on the West Coast, though the exact location and opening date have not been determined, according to an April 23 news release from the health system.
The American Cancer Society operates 31 Hope Lodges across the U.S. that provide free accommodations and support services to cancer patients and their families.
