Tampa General Hospital receives $10M for immunotherapy center

Tampa (Fla.) General Hospital has received $10 million to establish the Ian and Jean MacKechnie Immunotherapy Lab within the Tampa General Hospital Cancer Institute. 

The lab will be housed in the USF Health building in downtown Tampa and operate in partnership with the University of South Florida, according to a March 5 news release from Tampa General Hospital. 

Part of the gift will also fund the Taneja Surgical, Neuroscience and Transplant Tower, which is currently under construction.
