UAB taps surgical oncology leader

The University of Alabama at Birmingham has tapped Teviah Sachs, MD, as director for the division of surgical oncology. 

Dr. Sachs joins UAB from Boston University, where he served as chief of the section of surgical oncology, according to a July 16 news release from UAB. 

While at Boston University, he also served as associate program director of the Surgical Residency Program and site director of the Boston University General Surgery Clerkship, Mozden Service.
