Sacramento-based UC Davis Health has launched a pilot to study integrating at-home HPV testing into a health system setting.
The pilot study will use Teal Health’s self-collection device for at-home cervical cancer screening, according to a July 23 news release from UC Davis Health.
Patients ages 30 to 65 who are due for cervical cancer screening will be invited to participate in the study through a MyChart, email or text message. Patients will receive a screening kit in the mail, collect their sample at home and send the kit back to UC Davis Health for testing.
