Richmond, Va.-based VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center has launched the first clinical trial at VCU Health Tappahannock (Va.) Hospital.
Tappahannock Hospital became a member of VCU Health’s National Cancer Institute Community Oncology Research Program in 2024, according to a Nov. 10 news system release.
The trial will compare the effect of adding chemotherapy to immunotherapy versus immunotherapy alone in treating patients with advanced lung cancer, the release said. The study is also being conducted at Massey’s Richmond and Stony Point, Va., locations.
